You are a busy bee.
This was another insightful interview. I think it is great that all of the people you interview have an open mind to low carb. I tend to comment and split hairs with things I disagree with but, I really appreciate all of them coming out to share their knowledge.
I’m going to check out Wellphere.
We need a low carb restaurant database.

THANKS Danielle! Most of my guests (even Dean Ornish) have accepted that there is at least some benefit to low-carb living even if they themselves don’t believe in it. That’s a HUGE transformation from ten, twenty years ago when everybody thought Dr. Atkins was a quack. His life’s work is being vindicated long after his death.
I am coming LATE to the party, but fortunately all your podcasts are available on iTunes. They are sure making my exercise sessions go by fast!
My very favorite thing about you is that you have a strong attitude that, while low carb works best for you (and ME too, by the way), there are other people who do well on other plans.
Thanks for being well-rounded, while never wavering from the low-carb lifestyle.
Checked out the Wellsphere site and a cursory glance reveals the same old pushing of fiber and exercise. Not very interesting to me.
THANKS gharkness! I try to let the guests say what they believe and only interject questions to incite more knowledge from them. I appreciate you noticing! Can you share a review of the podcast at iTunes for me?
Mike, I hear ya about the overall tone of the site…it’s very traditional-minded since it is run by people who believe in the low-fat hypothesis (Dr. Rutledge included). But what sets them apart is their willingness to have low-carb voices like me, Jonny Bowden, Dr. William Davis and others articulate our points of view, too. Is Wellsphere perfect? No, but they’re better than most. THANK YOU for sharing your opinions.
Jimmy, I think you let him slip one passed you. You asked if their site evaluates lower carb food as a better alternative. He said yes because it will have few calories.
What! If they are just evaluating carbs by calories it means that they evaluate the grams of carbs in broccoli the same as the grams of carbs in sugar cookies! It also means that an alternative that switches carbs out and fat in will evaluate worse not better as we know it should.
Slick answer by a fat-phobe if you ask me.
