10150015_gsized Week of Weight Loss Wisdom Part 3: Meet Kent Bowulf Altena (Episode 149)

Welcome to Part 3 of our special “Week Of Weight Loss Wisdom” here at “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore!”

In Episode 149 today, Jimmy talks with popular low-carb Internet personality Bowulf (otherwise known as Kent Altena). Kent started his low-carb journey weighing in at well over 400 pounds (just like Jimmy used to weigh!) and with a major case of sleep apnea. But thanks to the Atkins diet (yes, Kent read Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution), in just 15 months he had shed 200 pounds and was running marathons. WOW! Today, Kent is fit as a fiddle because of the healthy, low-carb lifestyle.

Listen in to this interview as Jimmy and Kent discuss the importance of reading the book for your diet plan thoroughly, the myth of carb-loading for distance runners, the use of the new P90X training program, and so much Moore! Check out Kent’s YouTube video about his weight loss success:

Good interview Jimmy. Way to go Kent! I have used your recipes on you tube. They are great! The Atkins diet has saved my health. I have self inflicted diabetes from; eating a bad diet of HFCS and carbs for most of my life. Dr Atkins on almost every page of his book ( I call it my diabetes bible ) says that his diet is a cure for Diabetes. I have found this to be true. I was on four prescriptions for cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes. I am now much healthier with just diet and exercise.
