I have been weighing in everyday like you suggested and measured once and will do it in a month or so. I’m in ketosis and a stall… but it is a life change like you say… I am loving listening to these podcasts over and over, I carry my computer with me while I cook in the kitchen just to help remind me I’m not alone…. Thank you kindly. Rene’

What has helped me break through every one of my plateaus is either moving more or counting my calories. If you have a lot to lose and are not trying to get extremely lean, then move a little more and eat a little less philosophy will go a long way for you. The key is that you can go lower with your carb intake, but if you don't reduce your overall caloric intake, you're going to stay at your plateau.

Like you Jimmy, I weigh myself everyday. I don't get crazy anymore if it fluctuates a couple of pounds. I realize if I stick to plan and keep exercising , it will start moving down again. Also, keep track of measurements. You may not be losing pounds this week, but you may be losing inches and toning up!p.s. Missed you for awhile; I was away on a much needed vacation!!!

THANKS Clyde! I have ALWAYS been encouraged by the scale even since the time I was in the midst of losing most of my weight. The machine can discourage a lot of people, but it never has me.

My thinking is this: If the weight goes down, HURRAY! I'm doing well and it's time to keep it going. If the weight goes up, then I simply use that as a springboard for getting serious about my routine and bringing it back down again.

Unless you weigh everyday and remain vigilant, then you will not realize the fluctuations that are happening. Once a week is fine as long as you don't gain 10 pounds in a week, but I'm very comfortable weighing daily or every other day. It is the accountability I need to keep the weight creep from happening.

EXCELLENT comments, Clyde, and THANK YOU for listening to my podcast show! :D

Thanks for the podcast. I've had a similar problem with plateaus weightwise.
I'm wondering about the whole two schools of thought with weighing daily or weekly. The once a weekers say that average daily ups and downs can discourage people for no good reason, and dailys insist they need the accountability.
What I'm trying to do is weigh every day or every other day and give myself a three pound spread for the minor variations. I'd welcome your input on this matter. Thanks, Clyde
