Its almost a year that i have been suffering from obesity and now its high time that i should get rid of it. I would appreciate more and more comments regarding obesity as it would defenitely help me find a way to get rid of this problem once it for all.

I didn't do a transcript for my interviews because I didn't have time. It takes 4-5 hours to do a 15-minute transcript. EEEK! Sorry.

These kinds of reports are almost too disturbing to comment on. It is good that they recognize sugar as a major contributor to obesity. But what good is it to constantly harass overweight people when the health advice they are given is so ineffective? Browbeating with bad advice will only dig us deeper into sickness. Isn't it interesting how the people who are supposed to have the most open minds in the world, namely scientific researchers, are actually the most closed-minded when it comes to contradicting their beliefs?

What is most disturbing is the urge for big government to feel it has to use it's immense influence to force society to behave a certain way. In short, it makes us feel like we are doing something, when we are really just doing more of nothing, but more insistently. Plus creating another frankensteinian beauracracy to contend with. Dont' we have enough of these already, and aren't they doing enough harm? Has our society become so big that it is out of control and accountable to no one, and run by self-sustaining beauracracies of the wise, who are in fact gravely wrong about their science and their policies? Is it too late to escape Big Brother?

We need more people like you, Linda, willing to take the time to not just explain how and why low-carb works, but also LIVE IT! There's nothing more powerful than to see a living, breathing example of what you believe in your heart of hearts. Keep up the great work, Linda! :)

Obesity is definitely a worldwide problem now. As Jimmy says, the public needs knowledge on how to lose the weght and keep it off. I found my solution in the low carb lifestyle but this was a long time coming. I hope others discover its wonders and give it a try. We just need to get the info out there. I try my best to do it; whenever I am asked about low carbing, I am more than happy to explain.
