We owe a great deal of gratitude for the work of Professor Loren Cordain on the popularity of the Paleo diet movement that is happening in America and around the world. Through his thorough research of the diet and lifestyle of Paleolithic man, we have learned so much about how modern man should be feeding himself and doing to be optimally healthy. Over a decade after the release of his landmark book The Paleo Diet, Cordain is back with a brand new book that is essentially Paleo 2.0 called The Paleo Answer: 7 Days to Lose Weight, Feel Great, Stay Young. In this book, he explores the topic of saturated fat which he has been heavily criticized for allegedly eschewing and sets the record straight once and for all. He also says this is the first book that identifies the “antinutrient” foods in a clear and concise manner to describe grains, beans, and potatoes. This interview and book will open the eyes of some Paleo and low-carb followers who choose to eat these foods as part their diet. He explores REAL solutions to the constant struggles to lose weight and get healthy and will give you a whole new perspective on the great diet debate through a concept he calls The Black Box. Don’t miss Jimmy’s March 21, 2012 full-length podcast interview with Adam about this e-book that could very well change the way you look at nutrition forever!
When Jill approached Jimmy about writing the foreword to her new book Farewell, Club Perma-Chub: A Sugar Addict’s Guide to Easy Weight Loss, he was curious to see what her dietary philosophy was all about and whether he could confidently sign his name on as part of the book. But it didn’t take long to realize that Jill totally understands that sugar and refined carbohydrates are a big problem with obesity and chronic disease in the United States and that something needs to be done about it sooner rather than later. That’s why she wrote her fantastic book (and Jimmy did write the foreword) which you will hear all about in today’s interview!

When Jimmy contacted Peggy about being a guest on my podcast, she immediately contacted him back stating “I’m not low-carb anymore.” Needless to say, that got his attention and caused him to want to have her come on my show even more. When she agreed and they started talking, it quickly became apparent that she still indeed eats a low-carb diet along with lots of meats, fats, organ meats, bone broth and more to help keep her health in line from the infertility and other such issues she’s suffered from in the past. Peggy has a superb blog called “The Primal Parent” where she shares with her growing readership how primal low-carb living revolutionized her life forever! Listen in as she and Jimmy talk about her journey to optimal health.

British weight loss coach and personal trainer Simon Shawcross and hypnotherapist Georges Phillips, co-authors of The ONE Diet are our guests today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Simon has been actively helping people attain their weight loss and fitness goals in London, England since 2000 and has shared his love for low-carb nutritional health to his clients, in various seminars, and in his writings on health for several newspapers and magazines. Georges was one of Simon’s clients who got the help he so desperately sought and brought a fresh new perspective on how to improve upon the low-carb lifestyle even more. They collaborated on a book entitled The ONE Diet to merge the nutritional and fitness knowledge that Simon possesses with the mental health experience that Georges brings to the table. These two men are a fine example of finding what works for you and then tweaking it to make it as optimal as it can be. Listen in as Jimmy gets to the heart of this different look at low-carb living.
PLUS: Have you tried the All-Natural Nutrition Drink Supplement Low-Carb LifeShotz yet? Returning podcast interview guest Dr. Briffa has a brand new book entitled Escape The Diet Trap: Lose Weight For Good Without Calorie-Counting, Extensive Exercise or Hunger that continues to spread the message that weight loss isn’t about cutting your calories, exercising until you pass out and suffering through bouts of starvation. Instead, by embracing a healthy high-fat, low-carb nutritional lifestyle change, you can be freed from the bondage of the typical “diet” trends that are out there and live a life that is enjoyable and healthy at the same time. Dr. Briffa is the first to tell you that “this is not a diet book” and you’ll quickly find out why during Jimmy’s interview with him today!

These two men are a fine example of finding what works for you and then tweaking it to make it as optimal as it can be. Listen in as Jimmy gets to the heart of this different look at low-carb living.

In case you missed Jimmy’s enlightening casual conversation with Professor Cordain prior to beginning today’s interview, check it out:

PLUS: Support our new sponsor Adam Kosloff’s Beyond Caloriegate e-book where he delves into the failure of traditional calorie-counting and why it is an inefficient way to lose weight.
It’s a power-packed powder that you mix with water to deliver improved cellular function, youthful endurance and stamina, excellent mood enhancements, and more energy than you’ll know what to do with! We are appreciative to have them as a sponsor of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show” and highly recommend you give them a try for yourself.

In case you missed Jimmy’s enlightening casual conversation with Professor Cordain prior to beginning today’s interview, check it out:
