591: Angela Ross Says A Glucometer Will Help Make You Healthy And Lean

Fitness coach and author Angela Ross is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

Jimmy has long been a proponent of people using a glucometer to measure the true value of how well your nutritional plan is working for you. Even better than the scale, a glucometer whether you are diabetic or not could be the key missing link in reaching your weight and health goals. Fitness coach and former Marine Angela Ross knows abundantly about this and has been sharing this secret with the clients she trains at “The Gym Cellar.” She has published an amazing new book on the subject entitled The Glucometer: A Self-Empowering Tool to a Healthy and Lean Body that includes a special 21-day journal with daily challenges to make sure you are on the right path.

Obviously, the plan includes an exercise program, shopping lists, recipes and meal planning to know exactly what you need to do while testing your blood sugar. Not surprisingly, if your glucometer shows higher readings then you will most likely need to lower your carbohydrate intake. Listen in today as Jimmy and Angela get into the nitty gritty of how this easy-to-access blood sugar testing monitor could give you the information you need to become optimally healthy and fit for life!

I can’t find any info on this, but is it necessary to use the lancets?  Can you use something like a “sterilized” needle?

I can’t draw blood sufficient blood from the side of my fingers (too callused), and afterwards, the area hurts for several hours.  Doing it on the pad is painless for me and the blood goes away easily after wiping it, or putting my finger in my mouth. :)   I have to use 5, as the other settings won’t draw blood.  Got working mans hands.
