Maureen Sullivan: Lite for Life

Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

Today, Jimmy shares his discussion with Maureen Sullivan, creator of the Lite For Life weight and blood-sugar management system and longtime student of insulin metabolism.

This is a very interesting one as Maureen has studied with a student of one of the discoverers of insulin, Sir Fredrick Banting (not to be confused with William Banting, the first proponent of a formal low-carb diet). Besides her history of dealing with diabetes in her family, Sullivan discusses the food plan presented by Lite For Life and how it differs from the Atkins diet.

ALSO: Listen in for details of a FREE TeleClass Jimmy is offering on June 18, 2009 about his forthcoming new book entitled Still Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb.

“our brain only works on glucose”…WRONG “crackers”…, etc. Approaches such as her’s reveal all sorts of misunderstandings that explain the wrongheadedness that flows therefrom. For a purer, unassailable, message people need to hear Mary Vernon, Eades, Taubes, Phinney, Feinman, et al.

They need to read pages 43-46 of “The Protein Power Life Plan” and “Life w/o Bread.”

hehe..true that she didn’t know ketonenic diet is actually great for the brain.
but it’s always great to see people like her who has influence over a community to promote the low carb health benefit to people.=)

oh jimmy, did you see that study that came out last month I posted in your comment section the other time? I was afraid that it was screened out.

THANK YOU for your comments, sss! I agree Maureen didn’t have everything right in her philosophy, I certainly think she’s on the right track. Many of those people you listed I have interviewed here on my podcast show and listening to people like Maureen Sullivan helps make their message that much clearer.

I appreciate your comments, Riceball! Yes, I saw that study and will be blogging about it soon. :)
