STORY ABOUT HOW JIMMY AND DR. WESTMAN MET

Today’s Keto Clarity interview is with our host Jimmy Moore reunited with his Cholesterol Clarity coauthor Dr. Eric Westman. Dr. Westman is an internist specializing in obesity medicine at the Duke Lifestyle Medicine Clinic in Durham, North Carolina as well as one of the world’s foremost researchers on the impact of low-carb, ketogenic diets on health. Needless to say, when Jimmy was looking to collaborate with someone on a series of books related to health, Dr. Westman was the obvious first choice. These two writing partners penned the bestselling 2013 book Cholesterol Clarity: What The HDL Is Wrong With My Numbers? (listen to them talk about that book in Episode 43 of “Ask The Low-Carb Experts”) and they return with a tour de force on ketogenic diets that will become a must-read for anyone interested in discovering more about the benefits of being in a state of ketosis on their health. Listen in to hear Jimmy and Dr. Westman share why the information they shared in Keto Clarity is the passion of their hearts.

hi Jimmy, Will Keto Clarity be available from Audible? They have Cholesterol Clarity for purchase, but not your new book. Thanks.

It’s coming by mid-August, buddy. The publisher hit a snag with the upload to Amazon, so it got delayed. It’ll be worth the wait if you liked what you heard from the sample chapter I did in this podcast.

Just have to disagree with one thing in this interview – Dr Westman said there is no known mechanism for low-carb to cure heartburn – but there is. Norman Robillard is a microbiologist who cured his own heartburn that way, worked out the mechanism of action, wrote two books about it, and has a website, the Digestive Health Institute dot org. This deserves to be more widely known.
