When Jill approached Jimmy about writing the foreword to her new book Farewell, Club Perma-Chub: A Sugar Addict’s Guide to Easy Weight Loss, he was curious to see what her dietary philosophy was all about and whether he could confidently sign his name on as part of the book. But it didn’t take long to realize that Jill totally understands that sugar and refined carbohydrates are a big problem with obesity and chronic disease in the United States and that something needs to be done about it sooner rather than later. That’s why she wrote her fantastic book (and Jimmy did write the foreword) which you will hear all about in today’s interview!

When Jimmy contacted Peggy about being a guest on my podcast, she immediately contacted him back stating “I’m not low-carb anymore.” Needless to say, that got his attention and caused him to want to have her come on my show even more. When she agreed and they started talking, it quickly became apparent that she still indeed eats a low-carb diet along with lots of meats, fats, organ meats, bone broth and more to help keep her health in line from the infertility and other such issues she’s suffered from in the past. Peggy has a superb blog called “The Primal Parent” where she shares with her growing readership how primal low-carb living revolutionized her life forever! Listen in as she and Jimmy talk about her journey to optimal health.

Brand new Paleo physician from Australia Anastasia Boulais is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Fresh out of medical school in the land down under, Dr. Boulais has become a full-fledged nutritional health and fitness fan implementing the Paleo/primal/low-carb principles of our evolutionary ancestors. She comes at things from a rather interesting perspective with her love for this way of eating and the traditional medical education she has been entrusted with using to help her patients. Anastasia’s fabulous blog is called “primalmeded” where she shares just a small glimpse of what’s going on up in that head of hers–and it’s a lot of good that will be helping people who are sick for a very long time. Paleo fan and assistant to the New York State Council on Food Policy at the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets Sarah Johnson is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Some of you may know Sarah as the girlfriend of former podcast guest Mat “The Kracken” Lalonde, but she is making waves in the nutritional realm in her own right by helping to change the food culture in the state of New York. Through this government position, she is able to directly impact food policy that effects school children, farmers, and others who would stand to benefit from real food in stark contrast to the high-carb, highly-processed garbage that passes for “food” these days. It doesn’t hurt to have a Paleo diet fan in a position like this and it will be fun to watch how these changes impact the state of New York and all across the United States in the coming years!

Paleo author and blogger Sarah Fragoso is our guest today on The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!
Over the past couple of years, there has been an explosion of interest in Paleo nutrition happening as so many passionate people are rising up to help educate people about this nutritious lifestyle and fitness plan. Paleo leaders such as Art DeVany, Loren Cordain, Robb Wolf and Mark Sisson are leading the charge in this effort. You’ve heard from many of these Paleo rock stars on this podcast and one of the newbies on the scene as of late has been the lovely and talented Sarah Fragoso. Her 2011 book Everyday Paleo showed adults how to live the Paleo lifestyle, but she wasn’t content with just reaching her adult peers. As a mom, Sarah also wanted to teach kids about Paleo to help curb childhood obesity and get their adult life started on the right foot. That’s why she decided to release a new Paleo children’s book in 2012 called PALEO PALS: Jimmy and the Carrot Rocket Ship. Listen in as Jimmy talks with Sarah about this sorely-needed Paleo resource for kids!
