LLVLC 339 Dr. Uffe Ravnskov Says Fat And Cholesterol Are Good For You! (Episode 339)

Hello and welcome back to The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!

In Episode 339, Jimmy is happy to present a very distinguished and legendary cholesterol skeptic guest, the great Dr. Uffe Ravnskov who is the author of a brand new book entitled Fat And Cholesterol Are Good For You.

First, though, Jimmy brings you a brief chat with Collette Heimowitz from Atkins Nutritionals to explain the flaws behind the protocols and approach taken in a March 2, 2010 study claiming to refute the efficacy of the healthy low-carb lifestyle. Next, our friend Amy Dungan returns for today’s CarbSmart Minute to tell us all about another great high-fiber, low-carb food, GG Scandinavian Bran Crispbread!

Then on to the main event: Dr. Ravnskov talks to Jimmy about the lack of any studies that prove any benefit for fat restriction or supporting the cholesterol theory of heart disease. Also discussed is the Cholesterol Skeptics group called THINCS, trying to advocate low-carb in an environment where health professionals fear getting in legal trouble because of it, and so MUCH more! Don’t miss a single moment!

ALERT: Next week will not have any podcasts airing as Jimmy and 100 low-carbers will be attending the third annual low-carb cruise to the Bahamas…and Kevin is going fishin’ for a well-deserved time off! We’ll be back on March 15, 2010 with new low-carb podcasts! SEE YA!
