Another great interview, Jimmy.
Here is a link to a Kat James video interview. It's hard to belive that she is 42.
She looks younger now then she did when she was 19.

I'm thrilled that you interviewed Kat James, one of my favorite beauty experts. I've been a Kat James fan since I discovered her book several years ago in the Isabella catalog. As someone who is super sugar sensitive---I, too, get a sugar rush from fruit and grains---as well as someone who is super sensitive to the chemicals in standard beauty products, Kat's book was a tremendous resource to me. It also reassured me that I'm not the only one who has to treat her body like a Porsche (think: high octane fuel) for it to feel and look its best.

It took me ten years to make peace with the fact that I can't fill my body with junk food, the standard American diet, and drugstore beauty products and also feel good. Accepting my unique bodychemistry was what finally enabled me to quit sugar, and take the first steps to supporting myself. In my day to day journey, this is a balance of accepting that I must abstain from lots of "healthy" foods like fruit as well as unhealthy foods like sugar, without turning myself into a victim or feeling sorry for myself (well, okay, most of the time!)

Very interesting. Your blog and podcasts are really helping me stay the course. I have to tell you that I ran out of lunch today and suddenly started craving the mayonnaise I had with my boiled eggs. I felt so idiotic because I actually started scooping it out with my finger to lick it out of the little jar *face palm*

Once again I enjoyed the interview with Kat - another inspiring women. I found her talking about how sensitive she is to carbs/sugars even in fruit something that I can now fully relate to. She is right there is nothing wrong with these food groups but because we have burnt sugar as fuel all of lives - something that is abnormal - that we are now not functioning in a normal way.
Also what I am finding so good with your site Jimmy is the positive reinforcement of the low carb life style. It would be very easy to get a bit lost in this mad carb world of ours.
I now have a lot more eggs for example then I use to have - and that was because of all the bad press about eggs. But last night on the news there was a big announcement that more than 7 eggs a week for men can lead to early deaths. So I went searching on google news, turns out that the men had to make note of how many eggs they had a week - they were not asked about any other food - they could have been having 3lbs of sugar a week along with loads of the worst carbs money can buy for all the researchers knew. And yet it was eggs that cope it in the neck - they are the criminals because of the cholesterol. Now my husband thinks I am crazy - won't listen to me today and won't read any of the information I have given him. He is back on the potatoes and bread and jam again today - but won't touch eggs - because obviously I am wrong!
Here are some of the links to the story on eggs
