An excellent interview, Jimmy. Hours and hours of exercise=”Bataan Death March to nowhere” :-) His position is very similar to Fred Hahn’s, who has a related post about excessive exercise and what our bodies were intended to do.

I look at the guy’s picture and say it’s hard to argue with success. OTOH, I’m skeptical about his advocacy for domesticated fruit. Most of the sweeter fruits sold today are a product of many generations of selective breeding to increase size and sugar content. Their wild ancestors were smaller, more tart, and more fibrous. Ever tried to eat a crab apple? I might be wrong, but I suspect paleolithic man didn’t venture far beyond berries.

You can’t beat someone living the lifestyle and looking the part! Top podcast Jimmy.

Please have Mark back and get into more detail about the primal lifestyle.

If you read Mark’s site, you’ll find that he himself doesn’t eat a lot of fruit, and that he recommends berries as the best choice. In the podcast he say you can eat “some fruit” but I assure you he is not a big advocate of fruit. Also, if you follow his recommendation to eat several cups of vegetables, and limit yourself to 120 grams of carbs, you won’t be eating much fruit.
