Hello and welcome to Episode 92 of the Internet’s most controversial, CAN’T MISS low-carb podcast show, it’s “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!”
Today’s episode is in two parts:
First, our host Jimmy and his lovely wife Christine discuss a reader’s question about the use of carbohydrate-restriction to overcome such mental health concerns as OCD (Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder), Depression and Anxiety Attacks. Since Christine has suffered from these over the past few years prior to beginning her low-carb lifestyle in May 2007, this was quite an illuminating conversation that many will benefit from.
Then, Jimmy follows up with Heidi “Kimmer” Diaz, attempting to ask questions about a recent KTLA-TV exposé on her diet and her allegedly current morbid obesity. Does she have any answers? Will she even acknowledge that she knows who Jimmy Moore is? Listen in for the straight poop right from the horse’s mouth! You’re not gonna believe this until you hear it!

That is SO her voice!!! Great job on the phone call!
Got it in the right place this time!
Glad you enjoyed it, Michalle!
I am STILL laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great phone call, Jimmy.
I had to relisten about a hundred times myself, Mary.
Wow, especially at the end of the call, you can really hear the same style of speech as in the interview. It’s her alright.
And she got more and more nervous as I wouldn’t give in to her poor attempt to act like she was the babysitter. Speaking of that, what kids would need to be watched while “Heidi was out” since the PI said the only people who came in and out of the apartment were Heidi and her teenager son? This has gotten more and more bizarre as the days go by.
Thanks, Jimmy, for a great show. I think the Standard American Diet explains why our children have epidemic levels of ADD and ADHD along with the other mental health issues so prevalent amoung the population. Thanks to Christine for being so open and honest about her own struggle. Thanks, Jimmy.
I’m happy to do it, Kay! I agree that the excessive amounts of sugar/carbs has more to do with mental/behavior issues in kids and even adults these days than any other factor. When are the so-called “experts” gonna get that?
I’ll let Christine know your appreciation for being so forthright.
I wanted to thank Christine for being so open in sharing her experiences dealing with her mental health issues and the impact that diet and health can have on them. As a mental health advocate, I really appreciate people speaking up on this topic. Thanks again for featuring it.
THANKS Jen! She was HAPPY to do it and knew it would help others who suffer from these conditions.

Thank you for this show, Christine, for being so transparent about your emotional struggles. This was very helpful and encouraging to me. What a great show! And it was funny, too, despite being about such a serious subject. Thank you both, Olivia
I have always had problems with Anxiety. and food effects my mood!! since I have been living lowcarb I am much more relaxed and happier these days, If I cheat (sometimes I have, lol) I had a hard time dealing with things the rest of the day. Low carb rocks!!
