Gary realizes this issue is far bigger than himself which is why he is devoted to sharing about it for as long as he can afford to. There's not a lot of money in going against the grain, but he's willing to give a go at it for the sake of helping as many people understand it as possible before it's too late. People will not give up their addictions, smoking, drinking etc even when authorities say these things are bad for you. Currently the authority is with low fat high carb diets with the added advantage that people are also addicted to sugar/carbs. From this position it is hard to break through to even starting a reasonable debate. The low carb community are just about in the same bucket as conspiracy theorist. I look forward to the day that people like Taubes can make a break through and we can start to see some real research done on the subject. Great interview Jimmy - and a great book by Taubes !
