Sustainability.
It’s generally understood and agreed to by about everybody in the community that you can not quit cigarettes and then later on start to smoke cigarettes here and there or now and then and a day here and a day there, or before very long you become fully addicted again and fall back into your habit. — The same thing is true with alcohol or any other addictive drug including speed and other drugs and very much including our sugar/hybrid carbohydrate/starch drug addiction.
I realise that most people do not consider or refuse to believe that the latter are drugs in the first place.
I eat twice a day, usually early or late mornings and then about noon or a little later. Both large, high fat, low carb or no carb meals. — Usually very large meals. — A lot of times I get busy and forget or don’t eat at all.
When I was eating carbohydrates I had to eat often or I would get sick.
I am totally satiated and satisfied all of the time and then I am hungry again the next day and really enjoy me meals once again. — I love it and feel better all the time.
It’s water to drink and nothing more. I love that too.

He talked about how most can not stay on low carb diets and he listed his reasons. I was a little taken back on the reasons listed. I feel the reason why many have not stay on low carb diets or any diet out there is because of the lack of knowledge of what a low carb diet is. I remeber years ago the first time I tried low carb,, All I did was eat steak, chesse, over salads, but I was still eating large amounts!! and I only stayed on it for about two weeks and I did not lose wieght.. so then my thinking was “low carb is not real”,,, looking back on it I was eating 3 to 6,000 cal’s a day.. no wonder I did not lose anything!!! This time around I read books, watched low carb cooking shows and joined support groups.. and I love living low carb!!! and it does work,, plus I know this is a life long life style for me!! Its very healthy and I am never hurgry!! I started in Nov and have lost 55 pounds so far and I feel great… The key to living a healthy low carb life style is “Knowledge” without that you will fail….
I think Teresa that the first time would have worked for you had you given it enough time to kick in. Not that there’s anything wrong with your newer approach. — It took me ten or twelve weeks to get to where I could begin to lose weight. Then it slowly began to come off. I have lost 70# to date eating this way. I have also went through two six months stalls now because of mistakes I have made in eating the wrong foods or slipping. — Tons of weight can be lost while eating large amounts of the right food but it takes time.
Lack of education is indeed a BIG reason people cannot stay on low-carb or any diet for that matter, Teresa. You are spot on in your analysis. Getting the right knowledge about what you are doing is the real key to success.
