The fact that Bill is on low carb will give him the best chance! When you are insulin resistant, working out, no matter how hard, or often, will not do much by itself!

It stinks losing computer, but, actually having one (after coughing up the bucks) is usually a blast. Hope you enjoy!

Welcome back, Linda! Most of the sponsors are indeed low-fatties, so that probably has a lot to do with it.

Why can't they talk about low carbing on the show? Afraid of losing sponsors? Hey Jimmy, I'm back! My pc needed to be replaced ; so now I can get back into the swing of things! I have missed you and all your low carb wisdom!!!

The trainers already do support low-carb, but they're not allowed to talk about it on the show.

Too bad the show doesn't ask them which eating program they lost their weight on. What a promotion Bill would've made for low carb living!
I always wondered if they MADE them eat what 'nutritionists' recommend. Maybe they each get to choose their own eating style. I think they do have to make their own meals. It sure would be unusual for the trainers to support low carb, huh?!
Can we say 'converts'?

Hey Oscuro, GREAT QUESTION! I believe from the time they begin until the grand finale, the time length is about seven months. I've asked several of the other contestants about this in some written blog interviews that are forthcoming at http://www.LivinLaVidaLowCarb.com. Keep reading and start watching that show. IT'S AMAZING!!!

Yeah, Taiwan Gal, I thought the fact that Bill is livin' la vida low-carb would be interesting fodder for people to hear. Would I have gone on TBL if I had a chance? HECK YEAH and I would have been as competitive as I could be. The year I lost weight was the first year the show began airing when Ryan Benson won by losing about 100 pounds. I would have blown his loss out the water! :D

Hi, Jimmy! I'm so glad you asked Bill about his diet...I was wondering what he eats now after I heard the first podcast. Since I have never been able to watch this show, I'm thankful for the interviews you do. Just curious...if you had been given the chance to go on The Biggest Loser when you weighed 400 pounds, would you have done it?

Hi Jimmy - Not a comment but a question. I don't watch TV so am not familiar with the Biggest Loser show. What is the time period over which the contestants have to lose the weight? 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? It certainly is amazing - the transformation of the finalists.

Thanks, Jimmy, for that Interview. The more i hear these success stories, the more it sinks into my head that I can do it too! I definitely have to re-program my brain...it still doesn't think "thin" and makes me work overtime to just head in that direction. Thanks for all you do!
