Per Wikholm Hello and welcome back to the most in-depth and informative low-carb podcast known to mankind, “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore!”

In Episode 143 today, Jimmy interviews Sweden’s Per Wikholm, a molecular biologist who provides updates on what has happened to food attitudes and food policy in den Konungariket Sverige. He is an active member of the low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) movement in that country where some truly remarkable things are happening on behalf of livin’ la vida low-carb.

You may remember Jimmy’s interview earlier this year with Dr. Annika Dahlqvist who was personally responsible for launching the move for low-carb acceptance in the Swedish government. Since the last time we heard from Dr. Dahlqvist, there has been an explosion of interest in the healthy low-carb lifestyle in Sweden. She herself was recently voted the 7th most influential woman in Sweden in a reader’s poll by a national newspaper. WOW!!!

The Swedes have a great long term study on the efficacy of low-carb, too, which I’m sure Jimmy will be telling you more about at his blog real soon. All of this has driven huge changes in consumer behavior, changes so profound they would be absolutely unheard of in the USA! So grab some lutefisk and sugar-free gravlax and settle in to hear Per and Jimmy’s insights on these developments and much, much Moore! :)

Great interview.

My husband is Swedish and we lived in Stockholm for awhile. I’m thrilled that Sweden has made such progress. I’m not surprised. Scandinavia really seems to be concerned for their citizens. I think Denmark was the first to ban trans-fats.
