Hello and welcome to another entertaining and informative episode of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!”
As regular listeners know, our host Jimmy was privileged to be a part of an obesity conference in Nashville, TN recently sponsored by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP) and was able to interview a whole bunch of doctors who are committed to helping the overweight and obese shed the pounds and save their lives!
In Episode 60 today, the mellifluous Mr. Moore brings you his interview with Dr. Larry Richardson of the Doctor’s Weight Control Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Richardson is a very busy man as he points out that Houston is the “Fattest city in the U.S. of A!”
Plus, you’re not gonna believe what our very own Jimmy Moore was privileged to be a part of this past weekend–HE’S GONNA BE IN A MOVIE!!! No, I’m not talking about the upcoming George Clooney 1920’s football movie “Leatherheads” where he played a doorman and a fan. This new one is about obesity and the producers filmed him taking about his blog as well as this podcast show.

I agree with Dr. Richardson-stop the blame game! Take responsibility for your weight. A great way is to start a low carb lifestyle; Jimmy is living proof that it works. Congrats on your film role. What a great way to get the low carb way to the public.
And I even got to work with George Clooney in that other movie, too, Linda! It’s been an amazing year for me so far.
I agree with Dr. Richardson to a point, but sometimes there really are those who cannot help themselves.
That’s where alternative therapies come into play, Jeff. Most people can change and that was the take home message I got from the interview.
