novak Interview: CNNs Fit Nation Weight Loss Poster Boy, Phill Novak (Episode 111)
CNN forgot to talk about Phill Novak’s low-carb diet, so Jimmy does today!

Hello and welcome to the Internet’s hottest and most intriguing low-carb podcast, “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!”

Our host Jimmy has a couple of great items in Episode 111!

First off, it’s been a little more than two years since its release, but we’ll be giving away 3 copies of the e-book version of his book Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb: My Journey From Flabby Fat To Sensationally Skinny In One Year! All you gotta do is leave a comment below for your chance to win.

Next, Jimmy presents his recent interview with low-carb weight loss success story Phill Novak. Phill lost 192 pounds on his own homemade version of a low-carb diet with a regular exercise routine. Phill became a beloved icon for weight loss after he was profiled on CNN’s Fit Nation, but the story failed to get into what Phill actually ate to lose all the weight. Never fear, Jimmy Moore is here to get to the bottom of the rest of the story!

In the interview, Phill reveals his exercise regimen, the simplicity of his diet, how he plans his meals, and the fact that he reads Jimmy’s blog EVERY DAY! We liked Phill before, but we REALLY like him now. :)

Thanks for tuning in, and remember: Be strong, eat the low-carb way, and Godspeed to you!

Hi Jimmy,
Just listened to your podcast for the first time. I really enjoyed hearing Phil tell his experience. It can feel like you’re the only one on the planet eating this way-most people are SO different! Very encouraging to hear another person telling how the diet makes you feel so good physically, plus you know you’re getting healthier, PLUS as he mentioned-which I think is such a good point-the diet is so basic and easy. When I read about other diets, all the food you need to buy and prepare-it sounds like way too much trouble! Anyway, really liked the podcast. Would love to get your book-I haven’t read it yet, although I read your blog almost every day. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed listening to your interview with Phil. I have used the low-carb diet to lose pounds but I have not stuck with it like I should have. It is a great encouragement to hear both your story and Phil’s. I have gone up and down 50 pounds in the last two years and now am on my way back down and will stay there this time. Thanks for all that you do.

Jimmy Moore (03:59:42) :

You can do this, Bob! Commit to making this your PERMANENT LIFESTYLE CHANGE and you’ll never have to worry about going back on low-carb ever again because you’ll never STOP. :D

Great interview! It’s so sad that the media would just ignore a huge chunk of his weight-loss success story.

Jimmy Moore (19:54:02) :

TOTALLY ignored it too Liz! That’s why I HAD to track Phill down and get the REAL story. AWESOME GUY!!! :)

Thank you so much. What a wonderful interview. I started low-carb seriously about 3 weeks ago (trying to stay under 20 g) and wow! I knew about it before but the bad press kept me from taking it seriously but not this time.

Jimmy Moore (22:40:52) :

YEE HAW, SusieQ! What wonderful news about your decision to start livin’ la vida low-carb. Keep it up and let me know how I can help in any way. :D

Jimmy Moore (19:12:00) :

It’s funny how losing a large amount of weight turns on this light inside of you to go help others. Everyone I know who has shed the pounds is now motivated to give others what they have.

DonnaJo (20:14:54) :

Hey Jimmy have you thought about having your book made available for Amazon’s Kindle? I received one for Christmas and looked for your book, but it wasn’t available. Love reading your blog and listening to your podcasts. Thanks for all you do. Donna

18 02 2008
Jimmy Moore (02:50:09) :

I submitted my book to Amazon for consideration for their Kindle program and they never wrote me back. I’m trying to find a major publisher for my next books which will secure me in the Kindle program. THANKS for your support Donna!

Will Weber (19:11:30) :

Great Job. I want to be a success story. You see I am 5 foot 5. 400 pounds and not mobile due to my current health issues. I want to loose my weight and be a success story not just for me. For my family.

20 03 2008
Jimmy Moore (03:48:24) :

You can do it, Will! Just get started on a plan and DO IT!!! :)
