Jimmy,
One of your best interviews. You can just tell by listening to Dr. Berkeley that she “gets it”. I always give more credence to someone who has the clinical experience, that has seen it all on a daily basis, and really understands the problems and how to deal with them.
Good job. Thank you for introducing her to your listeners.
THANKS Dave! I think her ideas about maintaining weight are dead on.
By the way, Dave, can you do me and the show a favor? Would you mind posting a review of the podcast at iTunes? Open your iTunes application, do a search for “low-carb” and you’ll find the show. Once you open the show at iTunes, there’s a link called “Write A Review.” This would help us out so much by spreading the message to others who are casually cruising iTunes for something to listen to. THANKS to you and anyone else who chooses to do this for us. You are the BEST!
I really like what she had to say.
The Opti-fast diet sounds like a good thing, particularly as she advises her clients to have 1 meal per day and she recommends a low-carb meal. The faster weight loss is a good incentive for a lot of people.
I wonder though if her maintenance programme is low in fat.
Jimmy, its good to hear that you are cutting the products. Perhaps, you also need to limit some of the fat. Let your body get some of the fat it needs from your stores rather than your diet. I wouldn’t go too low in fat.
