With my low carb plan(ATKINS) I tend to stay as close to natural foods as possible. I am very picky with low carb products; just because it says low carb doesn't mean it truly is!!!I do love the Atkins vanilla shakes; they come in handy when I can't get a true meal together. It will hold me over until I can get a chance to eat.You will get results from low carb whether you choose low carb products or not. Just stick to the plan.

Excellent show and congrats on the 180 pound weight loss and more importantly keeping it off and improving your health.

I am constantly surprised in our current DIY (do it yourself) culture that more and more people are not taking more action and responsibility for their own health. I am not suggesting we start performing our own surgery but I am suggesting we learn as much as we can to improve our health. Sure it is not easy when many information source states one thing while others contradicts them. It can be very confusing. Knowledge is power.

I feel our society has lost touch with ourselves. We (individuals) outsource so much of our lives. We seldom cook for ourselves these days, we seldom clean our own homes or cut our own lawn, we do not even have to shop for our own food - someone else will shop and even deliver it for us. Of course these 'services' would not be around if we did not pay for them.

We need to get more involved with our lives. Sure it is more time consuming but isn't this what life is about or were we suppose to fill our days learning what Paris Hilton is doing? Somewhere society has distracted us to what is important.

I am not a huge fan of prepackaged foods - low carb or not. Take ownership and cook for yourself. Make time for yourself. You ARE worth it! Health starts at home.
