Really, though, shouldn’t we call a spade a spade? Using euphemisms (even supposedly useful ones) does not help convince people of the health benefits they can enjoy by limiting carbs and increasing fats and proteins proportionally.

Have you met “Steven the Vegan” yet? WARNING: Don’t laugh TOO hard!

Greetings low-carbers and welcome to the 32nd episode of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore”…and what an intriguing podcast show it is (so what else is new with Jimmy, huh?).

In fact, we would be hard pressed to say which is more interesting–Jimmy’s appearance on his local CBS television affiliate on Wednesday or perhaps his shocking announcement that he has decided to shun all animal products and become a VEGAN!!!

In today’s show, Jimmy looks back at a touching e-mail he received about a year ago from a distraught young lady who was so miserable about her weight problem that she admitted to him that “some days, I wish I wouldn’t wake up…”

To this day, Jimmy is still haunted by that e-mail and can’t help but think about that young lady every single time he blogs and podcasts on the low-carb lifestyle.

Her sad story reminds us all how high the emotional stakes can be for the obese which is why we are doing everything we can to spread the positive message that livin’ la vida low-carb has to offer those who are hurting.

Greetings Low-Carbers, and welcome to Episode 30 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!” In today’s show, Jimmy steps right into the thick of a thorny issue: the “Fat Accceptance” movement.

While these folks may be trying to protect anorexic teens (or perhaps not), what they are doing is promoting the lie that it is possible to be healthy at any weight. If they succeed with this seemingly innocent message, then how many poor souls who have gradually slipped into obesity will be misled into believing that they are going to live a long and healthy life whether they lose the weight or not?

Of course, Jimmy’s message in Episode 30 basically tells overweight and obese people “Do not go gentle into that good night…,” but we want to hear YOUR thoughts, too!
