What’s hard on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside and can be prepared dozens if not hundreds of different ways? Some call it the “fruit of the hen”, but it is known most commonly as the incredible, edible egg!
In Episode 26, Jimmy continues his Fact-Filled February with a discussion of the latest research on satiety (fullness) and eggs. Guess what? Eggs are not only a great source of both protein and lipids, but a fantastic way to keep your hunger in check all day long!
Of course, low-carbers already knew this, but we’re getting everyone else up to speed now.

Hello, and welcome back to “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore” podcast as we continue our “Fact-Filled February” with a look at the importance of fats (also known as lipids) to the human diet.
While most of the “experts” and the media still erroneously fixate on the role of fat in the obesity epidemic, the fact of the matter is fat has very little to do with why we are fat.
In Episode 24, Jimmy presents some interesting truths direct from the science lab showing what really happens to blood levels of saturated fats when the consumption of Omega-rich fats goes up or down. Prepare for a BIG surprise!

Greeting fellow low-carbers! Welcome to your favorite health podcast featuring news and views about the low-carb lifestyle–it’s “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore!” We’re so glad you could join us again this week as we dive right into more truth and evidence in favor of low-carb living.
In Episode 23 today, Jimmy continues on with his “Fact-Filled February” by looking at two studies showing the effects of a low-carb/high protein diet on the development and maintenance of muscle mass. Although antagonists of livin’ la vida low-carb believe these diets cause you to lose muscle and that you shouldn’t exercise or lift weights when you are eating this way, the research just doesn’t bear that ridiculous theory out! Leave it to our host Jimmy Moore to spill the beans why!
Whether you’re a beefy bodybuilder or even a stay-at-home mom (or both–what a visual!), you won’t want to miss today’s exciting show featuring conclusions by the researchers which may just surprise you about livin’ la vida low-carb! Listen up!

Greetings low-carbers! Welcome to “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show With Jimmy Moore!” Happy February and we certainly hope you are sticking with your low-carb program in 2007. You ARE still on it, right? *wink*
Today Jimmy brings you his twenty-second episode which just so happens to kick off the new feature this month called “Fact-Filled February” highlighting some of the positive research that has come out in favor of the low-carb lifestyle.
Jimmy unveils an interesting survey today whose subjects are members of the Active Low-Carber Forums at forums.lowcarber.org, which by the way is an excellent support resource for you to try if you are livin’ la vida low-carb.
The results of this survey were published in a major medical journal and are particularly interesting as they show what REAL low-carbers are actually eating (and it’s not just meat, cheese, eggs, and butter either!).
Many will be surprised, but not our listeners…you’re too smart for that!
